Option to select different versions of CRF!

Hello,

I have been inputting data into Openclinica using Rev B of the eCRF. However, for the last two subjects of the site, the Rev changed from Rev B to Rev C. I Have been trying to figure out how to change the Rev without creating a new subject, however I have been unable to come up with a solution. I know that Openclinica has the option to pick the Rev whenever one inputs the data, however my rev is hard-coded into the system. Is there anyway to change this?

Please let me know!
Thank you!

    Hi Nadia,
If data entry hasn't begun on those 2 subjects, you should be able to
choose a different version of the CRF by using the drop-down. If this
option isn't available (the CRF is stuck on Rev B), it means that the data
entry has begun and you need to delete that Event CRF before you can select
    Rev C.
Since you ask this question, I'm pretty sure that no data has been entered
into the Event CRFs for those 2 subjects. But I'm also guessing that the
status icon for those 2 Event CRFs are Data Entry Started on the View
Subject page. This happens if you press Begin Data Entry, but don't enter
any data. The subject is marked as Data Entry Started, but since the Event
CRF doesn't contain any data, you cannot delete it (the red X isn't
available). Please go into those 2 Event CRFs in question, add some data
and save. Now, you can delete the Event CRFs (is you have the permissions)
    and choose Rev C.
    Best regards,
    Janus

  • Janus,
Thank you so much. I work with Nadia and your solution has fixed our
problem. On minor note if anyone else runs into this is that we had cases
where the status of a CRF is that data entry has NOT started but it only
allows an older rev of the CRF. In these cases, we entered some data so
that the status would change to data entry started and then deleted the CRF.
The newer revs then became available.
    Thanks again!

  • Janus,
There's one CRF that we can't delete and I think it is because we have
discrepancies filed in it. Is it possible to delete a CRF after
    discrepancies have been filed?
    Thanks,
    Kathryn

I haven't tried that, so I don't really know, but if you have open queries
of some kind, it may very well be the case. You don't have the Delete-icon
available, or you get an error-message?
    Best regards,

PS. I posted your problem as a bug for some time ago, and I'm pretty sure

    Janus,
The red X (delete icon) appears and when I click on it, it prompts me to
confirm that I want to delete the CRF. I confirm that I want to delete it
and then I am returned to the screen showing the subject's detailed info on
CRFs but the CRF I want to delete is still there. It must be a bug. I'm
using version 3.0 so I will update to the latest version.
    Thanks,
    Kathryn
