MAC parallels and open clinica

Dear all
Is it possible to run Open Clinica on a MAC with parallels and Windows 7? Is anyone using this to run Internet based trials?

I use Fusion VMWare to run OpenClinica on my Mac. Parallels should be just fine as well. I however run Ubuntu instead of Windows. Please note Windows 7 is not supported for OpenClinica.
    Best regards.

  • Dear Hiro and all,
Has anyone made adjustments that work to allow for Windows 7 or shall I just put it on an older computer? The demos and all are fine on my MAC so this confuses me as would it not be possible to run all from a browser regardless of OS?
    Best,
    Amy

  • I run OpenClinica on OSX. I could have run on Fusion but I have always found
fusion with Windows to leak memory requiring a periodic reboot.

  • Dear Amy,
why don't you just create a new Paralells VM with Ubuntu server, and
then install postgres, tomcat and OpenClinica on ubuntu?
It will just take 3 or 4 Gbytes of disk space and won't use much CPU
    from your Mac.
    Good luck!
    Kind regards,
    Pedro

    Dear Amy,
You do not need parallels or any kind of virtualization to run OpenClinica on Mac. You may install macports and then install java, tomcat and postgresql. In other words, as soon as you have macports installed, you may run Openclinica in the same way as you you run this on Linux box. I have found this approach most effective because virtualization is not used.
    cheers-
    Arthur
