The idea is simple, but the results are powerful: ask your questions, choose your visualizations, then return often for updated, interactive results that link you to all of the underlying data.

How to update DOB for all subjects to 01/01/1900 once data exported

DOB is going to be a mandatory field in our study, but once they have been entered and the data has been exported, we would like to anonymise the DOB to a standard one for all subjects (ie all 01/01/1900). We also want to do this for hospital number. Does anyone know of the best way for us to do this (preferably without xml as we have no experts here)? Is it possible to run update queries, similar to that in MS Access, or would you need to import the CRFs with updated fields?

Thanks for you help!

    Hi Georgina,
In these situations Selenium would be my weapon of first choice. The wikibook has a nice page about it:
You could write a script that uses the StudySubjectID to lookup the ViewStudySubject page and there update the date of birth.
I hope this does not sound too abstract and if so, feel free to ask.
    Kind regards,

ps. do not forget that in the study audit log the original dob will be recorded, like in the screenshot and similar in the odm-xml output
