Insight makes it easy to ask questions of ALL of your clinical and operational data and visualize answers via interactive reports and dashboards. The idea is simple, but the results are powerful: ask your questions, choose your visualizations, then return often for updated, interactive results that link you to all of the underlying data.

How can I get OC Null values into SAS?

We use Null values in some of our studies, but so far, when we import the xml-files into SAS, the fields containing Null values show up as missing an entry.
It would be great if we could differentiate in SAS between Null values and truly missing information.

Does anyone know what we need to do in order to make SAS recognise OC Null values?

Any help is much appreciated.

P.S. We use OC 3.1.3.1 and SAS 9.3

    Hi shaenicke

    This is an ancient question but it might be of interest for other users.

    A field with a null value looks like this

    <ItemData ItemOID="I_AAAA_BBBB_9401" IsNull="Yes" OpenClinica:ReasonForNull="NI"/>

    To transport this information to SAS it is necessary to modify the transformations skripts (xml_convert_sas*.xsl).
