Increase Speed of Loading a CRF page

Speed of displaying a CRF page that contains data has been a problem for us. This is especially true for monitoring. We have investigated making smaller CRF pages, that hold less data but that has its own limits. Sometimes you do not want to break up a CRF page if the items are logically related. Has anyone come up with a successful strategy to increase the speed of displaying and likewise saving an OpenClinica CRF page?

Recently there were database and JavaScript optimisations added to OC -
    what version are you on?

How many items in the CRF, and how long to load?

We are on the latest version 3.11.
We run OC from a data center in Europe and our clinical sites are in the North America, South America and Asia so internet connection may be a factor but other EDC systems we don't seem to be as affected.

How many patients and data points do you have in the study? I have never notice the type of delays you are talking about, even across the ocean!

Estimate for typical studies - 25 to 100 subjects with 800 - 1200 data points.
