Insight makes it easy to ask questions of ALL of your clinical and operational data and visualize answers via interactive reports and dashboards. The idea is simple, but the results are powerful: ask your questions, choose your visualizations, then return often for updated, interactive results that link you to all of the underlying data.

Software compatibility

Want to setup OC 3.12 on a Linux server (Ubuntu 16.04) and wonder which PostgreSQL, Java and Tomcat versions are compatible with OC 3.12.

Is there for example somewhere in the documentation a table like this:

| OC-version | PostgreSQL | Tomcat | JAVA |
| 3.12 | 8.4 - 9.5 | 7.x - 8.x | 7.x - 8.x |
| 3.11 | 8.4 - 9.5 | 7.x - 8.x | 7.x - 8.x |
| etc. | | | |

I would be thankful to get this info, at least for OC 3.12.

    Thanks Thomas this helps,

I will try to do it on Ubuntu (as you mentioned: for testing purposes), but the software versions are clear to me now!

Btw: does the screenshot from your video (attached) imply that you're reading/speaking Duths (my native language?) or is this video made by a Dutch/Belgian person?

    Thanks for helping,

    Hi Tom,
Does this mean that you are back in this end of the world again??
Anyhow, thanks to your detailed instructions I was able to set up the 64 bit version of PGSQL successfully. It runs so much faster than the 32 bit version. The only thing which was a little disturbing was the fact that when installing a 500 patient database by restoring a SQL dump file I got the very annoying (1) at the end saying that errors were ignored. Nevertheless everything seems to be working fine and I cannot find any errors in the imported data,
Any idea was this could be??
Second question. Is the 64 bit PGSQL version not released for us with OC 3.12? The instructions still only talks about 3.11 and version 8.X of PGSQL:

    Best regards

The video was made by me, which explains the Dutch interface ;-)
As for versions: the validation is still done against psql 8.4
However regression tests with windows-psql 9.5 showed no issues.
  • Nice video Gerben, well done!
