Using OpenClinca username and password in an external web

Hi all,
We are performing an OpenClinica study that will be associated with an external website.
This study related website will have private sections that will be accessible only by username and password. But we would like not to have 2 passwords and 2 users (Web/Blog and OpenClinica). So does anyone know if we can use the identifying OpenClinca data (username and password) in an external web?
Thank very much.
Francisco.

To directly use an OC user account externally, is not a good idea because of security. But depending on how much control you have over that web site configuraiton, you could consider setting up both OC and the web site to use the same Active Directory user accounts.
OC 3.1.4 supports LDAP/Active directory integration.
If you configure user accounts in an AD, and then use those for logging into OC and your web site, then you could use the same user account for both applications.
