    Hi Seth,
If you have successfully started Tomcat, you should be good to go! Check your datainfo.Properties File and verify if you have correctly configured database connection parameters. Once you have exploded OpenClinica.war file, edit datainfo file, save and restart tomcat according to the provided installation manual.
I would prefer you attach Tomcat log to help us diagnose further.
    All the best,
    Michael.

    Hi Seth,
Please log into Tomcat Manager and check if OpenClinica is running. If yes,
then check your datainfo.properties file it should have the following lines
    as follows:
    ############################################################################
    #
    # 2 - filePath
    #
    # File Path is the string which declares the
    # repository for all uploaded and generated
    # files in the system, including CRFs and
    # data sets. The directory should NOT be
    # accessible by the web server.
    #
    # REQUIRED.
    ############################################################################
    #
    filePath=c:\\oc\\tomcat\\openclinica.data\
    #filePath=/usr/local/tomcat/${WEBAPP.lower}.data/
    #################################################################
    Regards
    Krister

    Hi Seth,

To add on Krister make sure the filePath is pointing to the correct directory.
And if any of the line is missing as shown below, then you will have to undeploy
the openclinica manually from Tomcat and then delete the openclinica folder that
was created when you perform copying of .war file and start that process again.

Or start a fresh the installation of OpenClinica package only which is step six in
    the installation instruction document.

    Regards,
    Evarist.

    Hello Seth,

Something is wrong with your installation specifically the openclinica package installation
step as there is no filePath line in your data, properties file.

So, i suggest you repeat openclinica package installation step, remember to delete all file
that were created during that step after that start the process again JUST OPENCLINICA
    PACKAGE INSTALLATION STEP.

Re: [Users] FW: INSTALLATION PROBLEMS Hi Seth,
I agree with Evarist something is wrong with your OpenClinica package installation and you should try to repeat those steps.
Please note the configuration file you provided is perfect and is not the reason why I think your package needs to be re-installed. For people unaware this is the new 3.1 datainfo.properties file format and you can see filePath directive under the database configuration section.
Before re-installing the OpenClincia application please make sure there is no c:\oc\tomcat\openclinica.data folder by deleting it before tomcat starts. If you have an issue after the re-install of the package please let me know if that directory is automatically created. Note the directory does not need to be deleted for OpenClinica to start or work, I am using it more as a test in this scenario to see how far OpenClinica is getting in the startup process. Also if their are any openclinica-db*.log files please attach them with your other logs, including catalina-* and localhost-* log files.
    Thanks,
    Shaun

The Tomcat user ID and PW you set during the installation of Tomcat. You
should not try to install OpenClinica without having the access rights to
the Tomcat administrator account. You will need it during upgrades and in
this case to get rid of a bad installation if you can't get OC going without
removing it. You actually set the UID and PW on the 4th installation and
configuration screen during the Tomcat installation. It is not mentioned in
the manual but it is rather self-evident when you install Tomcat.
    Good luck
