Please send us your Tomcat logs so that we could diagnose the trouble.
Here is the way to get logs (in case that you never done this before):
1. stop tomcat
2. find CATALINA_HOME\logs directory. More specifically, find your
tomcat directory that is where your Catalina_Home points to; under
directory you can find "logs" directory;
3. delete all the files in logs directory;
4. start tomcat
5. redo what you did until you get the trouble. i.e. login and get

Thank you for recently registering on the OpenClinica website. As an
open source EDC/CTM/CDM system based on leading standards and cutting
edge technology, OpenClinica presents a compelling alternative to
existing solutions. And of course, the product is free!
If you face challenges installing or setting up the system I'd
suggest sending an email to the OpenClinica Users mailing list at
Finally, we can try to arrange a time for a conference call/live
demonstration of OpenClinica if you think it would be helpful. As an
open source project it is important for us to stay attune to the needs
of our community and direct, one-on-one interaction is an important
component of this. We'd be interested in learning more about your
objectives and this would be a good opportunity to ask any questions
may have. We can also discuss OpenClinica Enterprise and the various
support services that are available for OpenClinica adopters.
If you give me some times that work for you I'll coordinate on this
