subject age calculates not right

Hi,
If you are using OpenClinica v2.0, please look at the subject Age in
subject CRF data of CRF Info in website. It seems the age calculation
was not right, which has a systematic error added to age. If you find
same thing as I did, please let me know.
Any messages related to the issue are appreciated.

Hi,
I had the same "blank page" problem.
I tried the sollution Mr. Yufang proposed without succes. After
following
his steps, I tried two new things so I don't know which one of the two
steps
did it.
First:
After reading the installation for win again, I came along this strange
(for
me anyway) step in the "Modify Configuration Files for Server Specific
Settings"
"You must be sure to comment out the linux filePath and uncomment the
windows filePath, and be sure the filePath references the data folder
you
just created."
I didn't know what the Linux and what the Windows filePath was, nor how
to
"uncomment" a line. So I tried with changing

#filePath=/tomcat5.5/openclinica.data/
filePath=/usr/share/tomcat/openclinica.data/
to
filePath=/tomcat5.5/openclinica.data/
#filePath=/usr/share/tomcat/openclinica.data/
Second:
I followed the 'Setting up the Datamart' instructions. I hadn't done
it
untill now. I didn't change anything to the bat file.
That's it. Now openclinica works fine on my machine now.
Regards
Steven

  • May I ask how you calculate the age?
Right now the age is calculated as: age = "enrollment day" - "birthday".

    >From your email, I think I know what is the problem I thought the age
was wrong. The age is calculated by age = "enrollment day" - "birthday
but not age = "current day" - "birthday day". I thought the age to
display should be the later. Now I know the reason.

    age.
Chronological age is calculated with respect to the assessment date; it is
therefore assessment date - date of birth. An assessment might occur
sometime before the CRF is entered by a clerk; for that reason,
chronological age should not be calculated with reference to current date.
