Validation rules

Hello All,
Does someone know how to generate a validation rule in the excel sheet for the following condition?
Item is only required if the item before it (which is a yes-no radio) is answered with yes.
Thanks
Judith

    Hi Judith,
OpenClinica does not support skip patterns right now, so you will not be able to do what you want in the Excel template. However, in 2.5, you will be able to write a rule that states if Item_1 = Yes, then Item_2 must have a value.
It will not be a skip pattern where the application will automatically make something required or not based on a selection, but you will still be able to accomplish your goal of forcing a user to enter data into a particular item or else a discrepancy note will be logged if they leave it blank.
    Thanks,
    Paul

  • Hi, Paul,
Is there any sample XML file for showing how to load validation rule in
    general in Openclinica 2.5?
    Thanks,
    Wei
