Logging of data sets?

Hello all,
When I create a dataset, is that action logged in the audit log?
When I download a dataset, is that action logged in the audit log?
I see that created datasets are shared across users, e.g. I can create a
dataset as root and then download it when I'm logged in as monitor. Is that
an intended feature?
If there is no log of downloading datasets, how can I track who has viewed
which datasets?
Best regards,
Janus

    Hi Janus,
Currently there is no audit log captured for who views or downloads a
dataset. There are restrictions tied to users and what sites they have
access to, and if they are even allowed to view, create or edit
datasets. For example, Clinical Research Coordinators and Data Entry
People are not allowed to create or view any datasets at all.
This is not something that I have seen requested before, but do other
members of the community see this type of audit log for who views a
    dataset to be valuable?
    Thanks,
    Paul

    Hi Paul,
One of the problems is that in a specific study it may not be allowed for
the investigator to perform interim analyses, but data extracts may still
be generated by the monitors. Therefore it would be of greatly appreciated
    if a feature where
    1) A dataset created by a specific user cannot be viewed by other users (or
by users having a different role) and/or
    2) A log is maintained where all data set activity is logged
-would be concidered for a future release.
Another feature which I often encounter as being a requirement is a log of
which CRF pages have been shown, yielding a complete log of all user
activity in regards to subject data. Is this something you have concidered?
    Best regards,
    Janus
