3.1-WS vs. 3.1-caBIG-WS

Hi all,

We have started to test OC 3.1. and we are planning to migrate soon.
However, web services play a significant role in our environment and thus, we would like to know what are major differences between “3.1. ws package” and 3.1 cabig ws package”?

We would appreciate any input.
Thanks.

  • Hi Ildeniz,

The 3.1-ws package is probably what you need, and its capabilities are outlined in our online documentation here:

    https://docs.openclinica.com/3.1/openclinica-web-services-guide

The 3.1-caBIG package supports web services specifically for the Cancer Bioinformatics Grid’s Clinical Connector at the NIH, and more about that can be found here:

    https://cabig.nci.nih.gov/tools/C3DClinicalConnector

Hope that sets things clear. Best, Tom
