OC2.0 Install Issues

Message
During the postgresql install I found that the "create_database_2_0_with_data.sql" file in the latest release seems to be missing:

CREATE USER clinica WITH PASSWORD 'clinica' NOCREATEDB NOCREATEUSER

The file as it is doesn't execute on the system as the error, clinica role is missing type error occurs. I found the db didn't populate. Did anyone else have this error.

  • Bobby and all,
I have had the exact same issue.
I've also discovered several mistakes in the install instructions and
I'd like to submit bug report and patch for.
I'd appreciate any guidance I can get on submitting patches and bugs.
    Thanks,
    Chris

    Hi Chris and Bobby,

You can submit bugs via the openclinica.org website:

    - Go to http://www.openclinica.org/page.php?pid=26
    - Click on 'View all open bugs'
    - You will see the OpenClinica.org bugtracker interface (you may have to login again -> your openclinica.org username/password should work). From here click on 'Report Issue' to enter a bug.

This will submit a ticket to the 'OpenClinica Public Support' project in our bugtracker system. This project is monitored by Akaza's developers, issues are reviewed and responded to as they come in. Issues that are deemed to be bugs or desirable features are then moved to the 'OpenClinica Sterling' project and addressed as part of regular OpenClinica development activities or special patch releases.

We are currently working on an improved set of tools to facilitate external access/patch submission/contributions and hope to have this available within a few weeks. This will also improve access to the 'OpenClinica Sterling' project in the tracker used on a day-to-day basis by our development and QA teams. For now, if you want access to that please contact us to request permission.

We could use some help reviewing and critiquing these new tools before we roll them out to the community. If you (or anyone else on the list) would like to help and could put in some time for review and phone conversations over the next week or two, let us know - we'd appreciate it!

    Regards,
    Cal

  • Cal, Bobby, and all,
I went ahead and submitted two bug reports -- one for the missing sql
script at one for documentation errors. Thanks for your help with
    this Cal.
