Read-Only / Configuration

Hi,

I’m new to OpenClinica and my boss has asked me to research if there is a way to configure OpenClinica to put all BSS users in Read-Only mode.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris.

    Hi Chris,

You cannot define a User in OpenClinica to have only the 'read only' privileges, and in addition to that every eCRF you upload into the system has to have at least one item.
Saying that, if there are only a few eCRFs that you want the users to read with no data entry functionalities, you might find the following solution interesting: create an eCRF with a lot of wording (e.g. instructions) and add a check box below say: I have read this page… or a textbox for the user to fill in his name. This way you filled in the minimum requirement of an eCRF (1 data item) and you could make sure that the users how supposed to read something will do so…
If you have more than one user needs to read the data you can define this eCRF to be in a repeating event.

    Hope this helps,
