OC 3.3 favicon.ico 404 & extrem slow startup time

Hi,

I'm migrating an OC 3.1.4 Server to OC 3.3. I've upgraded the Server from Ubuntu 12.04 -> 14.04, Java6 -> 7, Tomcat6 -> 7

After resolving all errors caused by the OS upgrade i've installed OC 3.3 and cofigured it.
It's working now but:

After Login for the first time with empty cache (i've deployed OC as ROOT.war)
https://example.com/favicon.ico is called and returns an 404 error. Seems like this spring security error:
http://blog.idm.fr/2010/09/spring-security-redirecting-to-faviconico.html

Another Problem is the the slow startup time of OC (after tomcat restart approx 10 mins.)
What i've found in the logs:

In the OC.log:

SEVERE: Exception loading sessions from persistent storage

java.io.WriteAbortedException: writing aborted; java.io.NotSerializableException: java.util.PropertyResourceBundle

catalina.out:

INFO: validateJarFile(/var/lib/tomcat7/webapps/ROOT/WEB-INF/lib/servlet-api-2.3.jar) - jar not loaded. See Servlet Spec 3.0, section 10.7.2. Offending class: javax/servlet/Servlet.class

Any help is appreciated.

I think I've seen the exception loading sessions before, when I forgot to
start postgres before starting tomcat. That's my only idea though.

I could solve the slow startup time. This was caused by the low available entropy of the VM. We switched the random source from /dev/random to the non-blocking /dev/urandom and startup times are back to normal now.

    -Djava.security.egd=file:/dev/./urandom

I opened an Issue on Jira for the favicon bug:
