  • Hi Ricardo,

You can take a look at the tables by going to pgAdmin (the tool you used for step 9.2.6, at https://docs.openclinica.com/3.1/installation/installing-openclinica-windows#content-title-3763), opening up the database, going to 'Schema' and then 'Tables'. For 3.1.1, you should have 101 tables in the database.

My thought is that liquibase is not building your datamodel for you like it should, because there is a problem with connecting to your database, and that is why Tomcat is starting but OpenClinica is not. Make sure your database is up and that you don't have any firewalls blocking access to port 5432 (the postgres port).

Also, did User Access Control in Vista give you any problems with a 'postgres' user running Postgres? Sometimes that is an issue.

    Best, Tom

Hmm weird. The access*.log shows 200 for OpenClinica and OpenClinica-ws but your catalina*.log doesn't mention that they have been started. Please notice that tomcat 7 isn't supported officially (see system requirements [1]) and others had problems running OpenClinica on tomcat 7 too (I don't know if this has been successful in the mean time).

im lost, done everything and still the same...
still doesnt build any table, should i use postgresql 8.1??
  • smartinsmartin Posts: 145
    Hi Ricardo,
For OpenClinica 3.1.X you should be using postgres 8.4, tomcat 6, and java 6
(jdk1.6). That is the supported platform. From your emails I see that you
are using java 7 (jdk 1.7), and postgres 9.1 and neither are supported. If
you follow the install docs on
    https://docs.openclinica.com/3.1/installation/installing-openclinica-windows
you should be all set. Please note the install documents do reference the
versions I mentioned. Please try doing the install as documented and let us
know if you have any issues.
    Thanks,
    Shaun

Hi Shaun, unistalled everything and installed with the recomended versions, nothing change.
The logs dont give any error, im sending then if you could check maybe you see something that i cant.
One thing, in the wizard he tells us to remove everything from the webapps folder but i notice that nothing appends if i do that but if i put openclinica folder inside root folder then he tries to load it.
    thanks

Notice these 4 errors in openclinica-db.log, it created 74 tables.
