OpenClinica Rules Files

Hi,

We have issues with rules in OpenClinica. We have added some “rule files”, but now we are unable to “view” and/or "remove" the files, because once we click the view option “that little magnifier”, the general error page which reads “Oops! An Error has occurred” shows up.

When the rule file has obvious errors we get the error log in the alert box, but when we fix the issue and upload the file, the general error page (described above) shows up, and we have no idea what went wrong.

I would appreciate if someone can help.

Thanks
Saeed.

  • Dear Saeed,

Which version of OpenClinica are you using? Are you running more than one study on a single server?

We have experienced issues in OC 3.0.3 (https://issuetracker.openclinica.com/view.php?id=13332) with the ViewRuleAssignment page.

From around OC 3.0.1 to 3.0.3 there was an issue with uploading rules and running multiple studies on a single server, whereby after uploading rules for one study, Tomcat has to be restarted to upload rules for a second study:

If you look in the server log files, there will be more details of the error.

  • Dear Michael,

Thanks for the info. We are running a later version of the software and yes we have multiple studies. There are log files which we have to figure out the errors or I will upload the files for help.

    Thanks again.

    Saeed.
