[Developers] Index problems on 3.1.2

The b-tree Oracle index name can’t affect anything. Feel free to rename it as you prefer… a good idea is something like tabname_colname_idx.

Subject: [Developers] Index problems on 3.1.2

I am installing 3.1.2 on Oracle 11g. I know it is officially not supported, but I did that with a previous version and had no issues.

My issues today are with the performance.sql script. My first issue was "Using BTREE". I got "missing left paranthesis" error. When we removed "using btree", the problem was resolved.

Now the problem is that the index names are too long. If I modify the name would that affect the software in any way? Is there a script with shorter names available?
