    Hi Mark,
No, it does not. OpenClinica 2.2 continues to rely on PostgreSQL as its
database. I know we currently have some 2.0 users running Oracle and I
believe some have ported to MySQL too. Has anybody on the list
    implemented OpenClinica on SQL Server?
The major new features in OpenClinica 2.2 include enhanced case report
form (CRF) layout, integration with a standardized library of CRFs,
ability to create repeating data items and item groups,
internationalization/multi-language support, improved reporting and data
extraction features, and, improved support for multi-site studies, study
    event completion/lock, and status management.
    Best,
    Cal

The zip file seems to be missing several installation directories.

  • Hi Cynthia,
With the new release of OpenClinica 2.2 we have tried to simplify the
directories and where you need to go for each step of configuring
OpenClinica. That is why if you look at the zip or tar files of 2.0.1
and 2.2 you will notice a lot of differences between the two.
The source code has been removed from the zip file but you can download
    it from
    http://svn.akazaresearch.com/openclinica/OpenClinica/branches/OpenClinic
    a-2.2/.
    Thanks,
    Paul
