Rule Designer Now Open Source

edited May 2014 in Rule Designer
The OpenClinica Rule Designer module is now freely available to all OpenClinica Community Edition users, and the source code is open to developers. Making the Rule Designer open source and freely available encourages feedback and contributions that make it better for everyone, and enables innovative re-use of parts of the code.

You can request access to the hosted Rule Designer for your Community Edition instance here.

For developers, get the source code on GitHub. Technical information on how Rule Designer works and interacts with OpenClinica is here.

@kristiak - What browser did you end up using? I would have guessed it was an IE issue. Thanks!

Excellent. Thanks a lot for making it open.

Here are some remarks for people who do not have public access for their OC instance and would like to host the Designer on their own servers.

    - clone the actual source from github
    - in resource.properties adapt allowHosts property (your OC instance hostName should be there)
    - in spring applicationContext-security.xml uncomment oauth:resource and provide the valid URIs to your OC instance
    - compile and deploy the designer

    in OC instance datainfo.properties:
    - change designerURL property to point to the URL of deployed designer

Than you can load Designer directly from OC within build study feature (login will be automated with OAuth 2.0)

I used Firefox to fill in the details on the access form!

Is there a standard Rules library as we have it for CRFs?
