Unreliable value for Total Number of Items included in a Dataset shown when the Dataset is further edited
We observed that when a Dataset is further edited after its creation, the number for "You have selected a total of ... Items" shown in the Alert & Messages box is unexpectedly different (generally lower) with respect to the total number of Items shown when the Dataset was created.
This seems to occur always when option to Select all Items in Study is chosen and only occasionally when Items from selected CRFs are chosen.
Difference of value of selected items reported on screen makes user uncomfortable about the expected set of Items being effectively included in the Dataset.
Has this malfunctioning been observed by other users?

To verify the occurrence of the malfunctioning:
For a Study
> Create Dataset
> Select all Items in Study
:: record value shown in the prompted message "There are a total of ... Items"
> OK
:: value shown in the Boxed message under Create Dataset page heading "You choose to include ... Items total." confirms value previously shown.
> Save and Define Scope
:: value shown in the Alert & Messages box "You have selected a total of ... Items " confirms value previously shown.
> Continue
:: value shown in the Info box "Items Selected: ... " confirms value previously shown.
> Enter Name and Description
> Select option "Data from all available CRFs"
> Continue
> Confirm and Save
: Download data: ... page is shown.
> select Tasks > View datasets
> For the Dataset: select Edit
(do not change selections)
> Continue and Define Scope
:: record value shown in the Alert & Messages box "You have selected a total of ... Items "
Problem: This value is different from the value shown during all steps of initial Dataset creation.
