How to move a complete study from one server to anorher?

Hi OC users,
We have 2 servers with OC 3.1 running and we want to copy a complete study from one server to the other, with study definitions, event definitions, subjects, crfs, crf data etc.
From the documentation we see that study, events, crfs, rule definitions, must be created manually and only crf data can be uploaded automatically after those steps are completed.
Is there an easier way to do this? For example, export all definitions of a study and import that at the other server, just like database dump/recover actions?
Thanks, Cuneyt.

I don’t know of any way to do this but it certainly would be useful.

    Hi Cuneyt.

Provided that the new server runs a clean database without any study data I assume that you could backup the postgres data and restore it to the new server. You would also have to move the data directory where any CRF are stored (openclinica.data).

    Hi Cuneyt,

Have you considered exporting the database and importing into the new server ? This will essentially be a replica of the original configuration with all users/studies/crf/subject data getting copied over to the new instance (and the data directory of course)
You can do a backup and restore of postgres database using pgAdmin UI (or oracle export/import command if DB is oracle)

This approach depends on the how you intend to use the old and new instance.
