User Role

Dear All,
I am a new member on this list.
I am testing OpenClinica Version 2.5.4 and I have a (short?) question: Can I define my own user roles or must I use the given ones (Data Manager, Study Director, investigatos, monitos and Data Entry Person).
The background of this question is I wnat to split the 'Data Entry Person' into an investigator who can mark the complete CRF and a study nurse who have no rights for marking.

    Hi Wolfram,
User roles can not be configured at this time. Akaza will be looking into adding the capability for the user roles to be configurable in a future milestone of product development.
    Thanks,
    Paul

    Hello Paul,
You mentioned that the roles will be configurable in a future milestone. What release will this be in? We would like a similar feature.
    Thanks,

    Hi Calvin,
This is something that we will talk about implementing after the release of 3.0 so it will not be available for at least 6-9 months. We do not have a version number yet for the release after 3.0.
    Thanks,
    Paul

  • Hello,
Is it possible, to create user, that can only view data, with no other privileges?
The idea is, to allow study sponsor to look into the data, but to not to allow him to change anything.
    Kind regards,
    Daniel Rabczenko

    Hi Daniel,
The monitor role allows a read-only access. You can grant this role at either a site or study level.
