yeah, the study is near the end and don't want to do that and muck things up.  hoping that there is a less intrusive solution.  but thanks for the suggestion Kristiak, any other suggestions???

What you can do is to create a backup of the PLSQL database and upgrade it to a later version following the instructions. Hopefully this will let you create the exports that you need. I have a vague memory that there was a problem with the export in 3.0- Is there a problem with the creation of the CDISC ODM export files as well?

    Good luck

Have you already tried re-booting the server?

hoping it was as simple as that, re started appache, re booted server started and stopped services.  still unable to export data.  thanks for the suggest.  any other suggestions besides an upgrade.  don't really want to try that path right now as it's near the end of the study

I would still try the upgrade just for the export and maintain the old version for everything else! The backup of the PLSQL file is very simple dome via PGAdmin III.
