Rule Designer Now Open Source

  • liu09liu09 Posts: 51
    Hi Tomas,

I downloaded the http://www.skripcak.net/Designer-1.1.war file, followed step by step until the following steps

    4. in this XML file you should find "oauth" element and adapt the accessTokenUri and user AuthorizationUri attributres to point to your OpenClinica instance

I used the localhost:8080 at the moment, so no need to change anything in the applicationContext-security.xml file I guess, is it correct?

    7. vi /usr/local/tomcat/webapps/OpenClinica/WEB-INF/classes/datainfo.properties
    8. in this configuration file find the "designerURL" property and provide the URL to currently deployed Designer app. (something like: http://yourOCHostName:8080/Designer-1.1/)

I can not find  datainfo.properties in the /usr/local/tomcat/webapps/OpenClinica/WEB-INF/classes/ folder at all.

    any hints?

I am working on Linux (ubuntu), datainfo.properties is not in the
    Designer-1.1.war downloaded.

    Hi Bin,

datainfo.properties is property file of your OpenClinica installation (It does not belong to Designer). So you have to look into the folder where you had deployed OpenClinica.

Thanks Krister, I followed your very detailed instructions and suddenly the icon appeared at Create Rules!   And thanks Tomas for the war file.   Much appreciated   Mike

I recently installed the rule designer according Thomas's instructions. I have a OpenClinica V3.1.4 running on Ubuntu server.

When i go to "build study" module, in 5. step "create rules" I have a icon on the right, when I click on the icon show the following page (See attach).

Change line 110 in datainfo.properties to

where XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX is the URL of your server or "localhost"

  • Hi Kristiak,

You explanation in the PDF works perfectly. Can you also explain if and how I can host multiple openclinica instances (on the same server) with the same designer or do I need to install additional designers.
