Not find an empty variables

Hello everyone,
In my exported data (xls, txt, SPSS), I do not see all my empty variables (all variables that contains no data). I know this is not very important because they are empty, but it is important for me to find them in the dataset. Because it blocks the automatic execution of my programs written in Stata, or other language statistics.
I think anyone can help me solve these problems. My English is not good, but I think you understand me.
thank you

    Hi there!

I'm having the same problem. I want to extract a "dummy" database with all the variables with no data and only the variables with data are shown. Does anyone know how to extract all the variables wether they have data or not?

    Kind regards,

PS: I can't open the link Rodica have in the post above

    Hi Davis,
I'm afraid that is not possible: only items with data will be extracted. If you just want a list of all items, maybe the tool on http://www.trialdatasolutions.com/tds/howto/datalisting.jsp can help. Make an extract in ODM 1.3 of your empty Study and import it or rather: read the metadata. Those are always included. Then go to the tables and open tblItemDef.
    Hope this helps,
