Reference Study Group in rule

I understand that it is not possible to reference the Study Group (like: the treatment arm) in Rules, since I can't construct an OID for this variable. Is this correct?

If it is: why? Wouldn't it be useful to be able to use SubjectData like Study Group (and birthdate, sex) in rules? Would this be something to file a feature request for?

    Hello,

You are correct, it is not currently possible to write a Rule to reference a Subject Group Class or the Subject Metadata (such as the Sex, Date of Birth, etc.). We have created feature requests for each of these items in JIRA, our system for tracking bugs and features:

You are welcome to create an account in JIRA and add comments to these tickets, as well.

Currently, as a work-around, you can create fields for these items and capture this information in a CRF (such as a Demographics CRF). This will then allow you to reference the information in Rules in order to validate the fields.

    I hope this helps!

    Best,
    Jessica

Hi,As a workaround for the time being, you can copy some variables from the CRF-header, as described on http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/OpenClinica_User_Manual/VarsFromHeader.
Group information is however not available in the header.
