CRF with item GROUP structured in GRID - browser IE 11

I figure out a problem with Open Clinica Community Edition V_3.4 using Internet Explorer 11 (it works properly using other browsers instead, as well is working properly using Explorer 11 with Open Clinica 3.4 Enterprise Edtition Demo Version available in OC website)

The problem is concerning the CRF with item "GROUP" structured in GRID.

Once you input data, by clicking ADD to start compiling a new row, this one is created already FILLED with previous row data caming from
single-select-response-type item (see attached image.)

Has anybody pointed out the same "bug"?

In which way can be solved?

    Hi Alessandro,

There must be something else that is wrong. We have several forms like that running in OC 3.4 Community eddition running IE 11, in WIN7, WIN 8.1 as well as WIN 10. We have never seen your problem!

    Hi Alessandro,
This smells like https://jira.openclinica.com/browse/OC-2884 where there was (probably) a problem with repetition-model.js
    Two questions:
    - Does this happen with any CRF with a GRID?
    - What versions of tomcat and java are you using exactly?
    Kind regards,
    Gerben Rienk
  • Hi Gerben,
I agree, the problem it's similar....but with an old version of IE.
    About your questions:
it's happen (IE only)  with any CRF with GRID also in different studies and also in different installation.
Our installations use OPEN JDK 1.7.71 and TOMCAT 7.0.57

  • Hi,
with a help of OC-friends I fixed the problem.
The problem is known to OC developers and is classified as bug.
To solve the problem with IE is recommend that the default value (i.e. "(select one)") is put in the DEFAULT_VALUE column as opposed to as one of the response options.
    thank you all
