Is it possible to schedule an event based on the answer to a question on a form?

Hi there,

I'm wondering if there is a way to schedule an event based on the answer to a question on a form using rules?

I've seen that it's possible to schedule an event based on another form being completed or started (as outlined in the EventAction section here: https://docs.openclinica.com/3.1/rules/creating-rules), and I've tried to adapt it to schedule an event based on the answer to a question on the target form, but I am having no luck as the error messages tell me that Items are not supported in Expression and ValueExpressions when using EventAction, or as Targets.

Is this even possible?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

I'm having the same problem. Could you solve this problem yet?

    Kind regards.

    Hi hmues1,

Sadly I never got a response to this and I was unable to make it work with rules (I tried a number of things). I also found no literature on the forums or in the OC documentation that suggested it is possible. In the end I drew the conclusion that it sadly cannot be done.

    Best wishes

    No unfortunately not.

We looked for the same functionality but v3.3 training detailed that it can only be trigger by the STARTDATE or STATUS or an event. I don't think it was enhanced following 3.3
