I wanted to give an update on the migration from Mantis to JIRA for issue tracking. Needless to say, the process is taking longer than we expected it to. In an effort to keep you informed and keep you "plugged in", I am in the process of implementing an interim solution to allow for greater transparency.
First, we have a proper URL for our JIRA instance, which can be accessed here: http://jira.openclinica.com
Right now we are in the process of migrating data from Mantis to JIRA, which, due to the size of the migrated projects, has required a fair amount of systems support and "hand-holding". User accounts have been migrated and the user roles have been set up and defined. We hope to have all the short term items completed in the next week or so.
Short term: Enable Self-registration (not implemented at this time. We are still allowing "anonymous access"), which will allow community members to use their Issue Tracker usernames and the "forgot password" link to create a new password.
Long term: Enable SSO with JIRA
Short term: Define and Create basic user group permissions which will allow all registered members to view issues, add new issues, comment on issues, and add attachments.
Long term: Enable Rob M's Crowd/Role solution once it has been designed
Short term: Assign all items in to one "OpenClinica" Project and have our Agile Boards pull specific release/project views from that master list. We will import the "New Features" and "Amethyst" projects from Mantis.
Long term: Do a full audit of what is in Mantis and remove/migrate additional items as necessary and make Mantis "Read Only" for new issues.
Thanks again for your patience!
