I work in the Clinical Trials Research Unit at the University of Sheffield, and we're investigating OpenClinica to see if it meets our needs for data capture. Because we have only recently become aware of it, the director of our unit would like some assurance of its robustness.
I have noticed many references to organisations on the OpenClinica site who evaluated and/or started to use the software. We are interested to know who has continued to use it for the duration of a study, or adopted it widely in the organisation, and especially your responses to the following questions:
How long have you been using OpenClinica?
How many studies is it being used for, and what proportion of your organisation's studies does this represent?
What limitations have you encountered, and (how) were you able to overcome them?
How has the software been received by staff not involved in the technical administration of OpenClinica, eg study managers, statisticians and data entry staff?
Thanks very much for your thoughts,
